“Enjoy life – there are no re-runs”
Hello future Ella,
I write to you a month away from our 30th and I do not know how to tell you this, but we are having a mid-life? Tri-life crisis?
In case you forgot, the world went crazy in 2020. A pandemic broke out and you were unlucky enough to face stage three restrictions in a tiny apartment, away from your family with the possibility of losing your job. Pretty tragic right?
Isolated from family and with limited contact to friends, you have spent many days, hours thinking, contemplating, working on what is our purpose? What do you want from life? How can you get it? The hardest part is starting, I know its what I need to do but doing it makes me feel sick. This has been a tough subject to put to paper. Once it is written there is no turning back right??
How did we get like this?
I remember working with a PT seven years ago and struggling to get through my workout. I actually vomited mid-session. I was so embarrassed that my journey escalated, I made a life change, I lost weight, worked out and had a healthy lifestyle. Than. I moved, I packed up and I made a bigger change. Three years later, I am trying to escalate my journey, to make a lifestyle change, to be a better me and happy with who I am.
How does it happen that time escapes us?
Our bodies mark time, remembering the lack of movement, the neglect, even if we forget. When we forget. I keep reminding myself, small time pain long time gain, it is just a little time. It is a little time and a chance to change. How do people do this?
So we write to you.
We commit to following through with our goals, our actions and our mindset of making the most of today for a better tomorrow. Not being limited by the negativity of not being where we imagine ourselves to be. TO be ok, when we fall short or fall “off the wagon” and remind ourselves this is not a sprint but a marathon.
I wonder where we are today? My hope is you are working for yourself, fit and sexy, somewhere exotic like bora bora. I imagine you might still be finding your way, but you have a successful business, a great friendship circle and you finally completed at least one new years resolution.
Until then… we dream, we hustle and we hope to give you a good future.
